This list is compiled with a few rules in mind. No reissues will be accepted into this release, though consideration for self-released material being picked up by a label sometime in 2013 for wider distribution can be considered, in which case the time from initial release cannot exceed more than a few months at most. All entries in the list have been reviewed on the site at some point, and are chosen based on the highest score possible (10/10) and going down in score from there. The highest rated full-length albums are chosen, and ranked one through twenty-five based on the score, memorable impact, and replay value.

Top 5 - Coffee Ist Krieg!
Coffee. It makes the world go round. It keeps us going that one more day. It also keeps this website alive. Let’s face it, life today isn’t easy, especially when you’re an adult that suffers from constant fatigue. Sometimes a kick ass Metal CD isn’t enough to wake me up and have me face the day, but throw in some coffee and I’m good to go! As much as I love talking about Metal, I’ve been in long conversations about coffee, energy drinks, and just caffeine itself, especially among my Metal brothers and sisters. So, with this in mind, I decided to go ahead and post my top five favorite coffees to pound along to a good, or even heinously bad Metal album.
The Top 5 Doom Metal Albums of 2013 So Far
The buzz about the internet is that 2013 has produced very few good Doom Metal albums so far. While I tend to agree, there are still some solid efforts I came across so far that many either are overlooking, or just haven’t heard yet. So, I figured it is about time to buckle down and talk about the five Doom Metal albums that really stood out to me this year. Whether you agree with me or not, the following is a list of my personal favorites that you really should check out at this point.
Top 5 Must Hear Projections of June, 2013
With June slowly approaching, I decided to take a quick look at what’s due out in the next few weeks. There wasn’t much that really caught my eye to be honest, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised before. With a few exceptions already made in the reviews section, I decided to discuss which albums over the course of this month I believe will stick out the most. This is my top five projected must own albums of June, 2013.
My Top Five Slayer Albums
The death of Jeff Hanneman was one that came out of nowhere and blindsided the Metal community. We all felt the tremors of this loss much like the sudden passing of Dimebag, an insanely influential musician that still had plenty of life left in him. The same goes for Jeff. While he didn’t go out so tragically, his work in Slayer greatly influenced an entire genre, and countless Metalheads into picking up an instrument, starting a band, or just being a source of inspiration to overcome any obstacle or achieve a dream. Yes, I am one of those individuals, which I’ll mention later on in this list. But, that being said, I greatly dislike putting lists together, but in honor of this man I’m going to break that disgust by naming my top five Slayer albums of all time. Rest in peace, Jeff. This one’s for you…
