Well, the bad news is that dessert is ruined to the point where it actually caused my fiancee and I to fight instead of enjoy a nice new take on the restaurant staple’s ice cream, ultimately ruining the last part of the night that was going quite well. The good news is that despite these problems, we figured out a way to use them as chocolate nachos:
The reason this happened is because of the packaging itself. Everything was loose in the box, and given the weight of the chocolate sauce the shells were obviously destroyed during shipping. This means that chances are high that even if I were to return these the rest of the boxes on the shelves will have destroyed shells too, and possibly the regular hard shell dinner tacos if they come with a sauce to put on them. But, all of this is pointless given the taste of this product. The chocolate sauce is alright, and the chocolate shells themselves taste like literal cardboard that left a horrible after taste so vile we didn’t even bother to save them and have another sundae like pictured above.
Obviously, this is all unacceptable. Other than the packaging is absolute garbage and destroyed the most vital part of the mail, the taco shells, it’s also the taste. This is just a terrible, cheap product all around, but it’s far from a bad idea. This doesn’t replace the usual in-store desert of the ChocoTaco dairy treat you typically can buy in the restaurants, but with some modifications this could end up a decent post-dinner item at some point in the future. That is if someone decides to quit being cheap in every aspect.
