The United Kingdom’s atmospheric black/pagan metal masterminds Wodensthrone has called it a day. The announcement was made through a post on the group’s official Facebook account, and reads as follows:

“We regret to announce that after ten years of activity, Wodensthrone is no more, following the amicable departure of founding guitarist Wildeþrýð. We simply cannot carry on without such an integral member missing from the lineup.

We would like to thank all of our supporters, all the bands we have shared the stage with, and all those who have helped make Wodensthrone’s existence such an incredible experience during these years; we will take our memories to the grave.

- Wyrd Bið Ful Aræd!”

When asked if the band would fulfill their upcoming tour dates, the band responded by stating “Regretfully we are not able to honour these gigs.”.

Wodensthrone was formed back in 2005. Their most recent release, Curse, was issued in 2012 through Candlelight Records.
