“The Only Truth” is more of a commanding song with some moments of complexity, primarily during the solo, but typically just chugs along at a nice, solid pace. However, it’s “Still 1.2.3..” that really sounds good with it’s fast paced riffs, and nice drum work, switching nicely between a furious guitars during the song’s verse to a slower pace for the chorus and bridge.
Entrepunhos has it’s downs as well. While this demo faults from the typical budget recording issues on the overall quality of the sound, the vocals and drums sound incredibly clear in comparison to the guitars and bass on this release, which sound very muffled, almost as if they were recorded with a microphone against a rather old tiny box speaker you’d get with a cheap electric guitar in your neighborhood thrift store for maybe one hundred dollars. That really does hurt the demo, as does the outro to “Still 1.2.3..” which just sounds as if the guitars just aren’t in time with the rest of the music when they try to do what sounds like some sort of failed breakdown. But, other then those issues, this demo is actually a pretty solid sounding release that shows promise from these Brazilian thrashers.
